A growing body of evidence has demonstrated the inherent stress of health care work and the effects of this stress on worker health, quality of life (QOL), and job performance.(1-4) Although stressors like overwork, interpersonal conflicts, and the emotional strain of caregiving may be experienced across the health care professions, certain stressors may be more common to specific areas of health care.
