Brooke Army Medical Center, the U.S. Air Force 59th Medical Wing, and the South Texas Veterans Health Care System now have a combined 15 sharing agreements, including equipment sterilization; medical services; and surgical services for general, gynecologic, orthopedic, and ear, nose, and throat surgery.
“Military medicine is focused on providing world-class, high-quality, safe health care to our number one customer—the patient,” said Maj. Gen. Bart Iddins, 59th Medical Wing commander, in a Brooke Army Medical Center press release. “We remain patient-centered in all we do, and work-share agreements bolster this commitment."
The Brooke Army Medical Center and South Texas Veterans Health Care System facilities join the existing work-share agreements between the facilities of VA Northern California Health Care System and the U.S. Air Force 60th Medical Group’s David Grant Medical Center.
