This publication on evaluating and managing chronic hepatitis C infection is based on the October 10, 2002 satellite TV broadcast by the Minneapolis Geriatric Research, Education, and Clinical Center (GRECC). The broadcast was targeted at health care professionals working in a primary care setting with patients who have or are at risk for developing chronic hepatitis C, and was accredited to provide continuing education credit for a multidisciplinary audience, including physicians, pharmacists, and nurses. It was developed and implemented with the assistance of an unrestricted educational grant from Roche Laboratories Inc. This supplement addresses the assessment and treatment of hepatitis C infection and recent strategies undertaken at the VA to improve management in veterans.
